How Do I Prevent Infection When Touching a Vulva?
Cheeky Team
Touching a vulva with hands, toys, genitals, etc can spread bacteria and contribute to vaginal and urinary tract infections. To help prevent this, wash your hands and regularly clean sex toys after use. Wearing a condom can also help to introduce less bacteria to the vulva and vagina.
When you’re washing your vulva, just use warm water, you don’t need soap. Washing with soap might get some into your vagina and cause infection.
